Design refresh and ecommerce solution for Scottink

Aspiration

Leona Scott’s goal for 2023: set up an online ecommerce storefront for her scripture calendars and refresh the design of her Scottink blog. The previous two years she handled orders any way she could: via email, phone, text. After proving the product viability, it was time to step it up and build out a scaleable solution that could support online sales and was easy for her to maintain on her own.

The Solution

Since she did not have the budget for a full custom website redesign project, I recommended she use a premium Kadence template from Restored316 to speed up the design and build without sacrificing quality. Kadence is a solid WordPress themes and Restored316 has been making quality, femine Wordpress themes since 2008. Starting with the Sage theme as the base, I restyled it to suit her evolved brand. For the ecommerce solution, I recommended she use Surecart over Woocommerce. Having had recently used SureCart on a few client project for selling digital products and services, I felt it was a good fit for Leona’s requirements and was eager to put some of the new physical product features to the test.

Choosing a customized vs custom solution helped Leona stay on budget and on time for the launch for the 2023 holiday gift season.
